LeverBuilt Solutions
Forward Deployed Engineers for AI Native Software
About Leverbuilt
Leverbuilt forward-deploys people into operator teams to put idle, native AI functionality to work. Every software vendor you are already using is bundling in their AI functionality, however most of it goes unused. We embed with the team, learn how the work actually gets done, and build the AI plays that fit the business. From there, we either hand off certified agents for the customer to run, or keep running them on an outcomes-based contract.
The Role
We’re hiring an experienced AI Deployment Lead to design and activate AI agents for our customers in their current environment, within their existing software stack. You will diagnose how the customer actually works, then propose designs that leverage existing software native AI or via platforms like ClickUp, Airtable, or Zapier.
This role is built to be a blend of implementation consulting and customer success, hands-on platform depth, and a thought-partner mindset. You’re not here to execute a build list — you’re here to figure out what problem is actually worth solving.
What You’ll Do
• Act as a thought partner, not a passive builder — before proposing a platform solution, understand what problem the customer is solving and what success looks like for their team.
• Run requirements-gathering and solution-design sessions across the customer’s departments, mapping real cross-functional workflows before touching workspace architecture.
• Partner with an AI Deployment Engineer to translate those requirements into workspace architecture, automations, and AI agent configuration.
• Own adoption strategy after launch — stakeholder management, training, and change management so the build actually gets used, not just delivered.
• Diagnose underperforming platform deployments, identify root causes, and build the turnaround plan to fix them.
• Own the ongoing outcome and renewal conversation with customer stakeholders as engagements mature.
• Bring AI fluency to the work — use AI tools in your own workflow, and help customers see where their platform’s native AI can replace manual effort.
What You Bring
• 7–14 years of professional experience spanning a genuine blend of implementation consulting (scoping, requirements gathering, solution design) and customer success (adoption strategy, stakeholder management, renewal outcomes). Pure CS or pure consulting background alone isn’t enough.
• Hands-on experience with Collaborative Work Management and workflow automation platforms in an enterprise environment — ClickUp, Airtable, or Zapier required, plus exposure to tools like Smartsheet, Monday, Asana, Wrike, or Quick Base — and a real understanding of workspace architecture, cross-functional workflows, and change management.
• A demonstrated thought-partner approach: you ask what problem you’re solving and what success looks like, rather than executing requests at face value.
• Ability to manage engagements independently end-to-end, without hand-holding.
• AI fluency — you use AI in your own workflow and can speak credibly to customers about where it fits theirs.
• Strong communication and cultural fit for direct, executive-level customer conversations.
Nice to Have
• A track record of turning around underperforming or low-adoption deployments.
• Experience partnering with a dedicated technical/platform engineer on joint engagements.
• Executive presence — comfortable leading the room in front of senior stakeholders and holding your own under scrutiny.
• A genuine curiosity mindset — you dig into the “why” behind a request instead of taking it at face value.
• Ability to influence without authority — moving stakeholders toward the right decision even when you don’t own the org chart.
• Strong project management skills — juggling multiple engagements, keeping timelines honest, and managing scope without losing momentum.
• Comfort with startup culture — ambiguity, fast iteration, and a bias toward action over process for its own sake.
What to Expect in the Process
Consistent with the hiring bar top platform partners hold their consultants to, finalists complete a panel project: given a customer scenario where platform adoption is underperforming, you’ll analyze the requirements, identify root causes, build a turnaround plan and a demo solution on the relevant platform, and present it to a panel as if presenting to the customer. We’re looking for strategic thinking, not just tactical execution.
“Curiosity over compliance.” The best consultants don’t ask ‘what do you want me to build?’ They ask ‘what problem are we solving, and what does success look like for your team?’
